March’s updates bring sharper customer insights, flexible delivery pricing, and new tools to fine-tune your digital ordering setup—all designed to make everyday operations easier. Read on.
Add Optional Checkbox Prompts to Checkout
Merchants often need to collect optional instructions (like “Include cutlery”) without forcing customers to take action. Until now, there was no way to surface these lightweight requests without disrupting checkout. This new feature adds a configurable, non-mandatory checkbox to the checkout page—letting merchants capture input when needed while keeping the flow frictionless.
Feature Highlights
An optional checkbox displayed on the checkout page, unchecked by default
No impact on payment or checkout if left unchecked
Custom message text is fully configurable via the backend
The checkbox can be enabled or disabled per merchant
If selected, the customer’s response is sent with the order data

Who is this for?
QSRs, cafés, and multi-location venues looking to:
Enable self-ordering and reduce front-of-house pressure
Deploy scalable, modular kiosk solutions
Maximise impact in limited spaces
Important note:
The NFC Module and Abacus Thermal Printer (RP1X) are compulsory accessories. These cannot be removed from the hardware bundle when purchasing the Android Kiosk.
Language Switcher on the Landing Page for Ordering
With Multi-Language Support for Ordering Pages, users can easily switch between English, Chinese, and Bahasa Indonesia, ensuring they see content in their preferred language. This update removes language barriers and makes ordering easier for non-English speakers, increasing conversion rates by making ordering seamless for a non-English-speaking audience.
Improved Multi-Menu Category Time Settings in OrderUp Blue
Previously, businesses using multiple menus with category-specific time settings faced issues where the system did not correctly apply timing rules, leading to conflicts and incorrect menu availability.
With this Multi-Menu Category Time Settings Enhancement, each menu now applies its category-specific time settings independently, preventing errors and ensuring accurate menu availability.
Block time between two consecutive orders from the same table
The Block Time feature on OrderUp Blue allows restaurant merchants to define a minimum time interval between consecutive Dine-In orders placed from the same table. It is designed to streamline kitchen operations and avoid order flooding by ensuring orders are spaced out. Customers attempting to re-order within the set block time will receive a pop-up indicating the remaining wait time.
How it works
Merchants can configure a Block Time (e.g., 2 minutes) via the backend portal.
Once an order is placed from a table, the system will enforce the set waiting time before allowing another order from the same table.
This feature applies specifically to Dine-In orders (not Takeaway or Delivery).
If a customer attempts to place another order within the block time, they will receive a message indicating the remaining wait time.
The countdown is synchronised across all devices used by the customer.
User Experience Flow
Merchant Setup:
Log into the backend portal.
Navigate to Online Ordering > Configuration > Configuring Block Time
Enable Block Time and sets a duration (e.g., 2 minutes).
Enter a pop-up message to be displayed.
Saves the configuration.
Customer Ordering Process:
A customer places an order via Dine-In mode.
A countdown timer starts based on the merchant’s configured Block Time.
If the customer tries to place another order before the timer expires, they will see a wait time notification.
Once the timer runs out, the customer can proceed with the next order.
Enhanced White Label Delivery Fee Structure for OrderUp Blue

One-size-fits-all fee structures don’t align with all business models. Merchants have limited control over delivery fees, and complex rules can cause pricing errors.
The White Label Delivery feature allows merchants to configure a delivery fee structure based on the order total. Currently, you can set a subsidised delivery fee with tiered amounts:
$10 fee for orders below $50
$5 fee for orders between $50 and $100
$2 fee for orders above $100
The enhancement to this feature enables merchants to choose between two types of fee structures for White Label Delivery:
Subsidised Fee (current model with $3, $5, and $10 tiers)
Flat Fee (merchant-defined flat fees for each tier)
This update gives you greater flexibility in defining delivery fees, allowing you to select the structure that best suits your business model.
Key Changes And Enhancements
UI changes: A new option will be added to the White Label Delivery (Delivery Option 3) settings where merchants can choose between the Subsidised Fee and Flat Fee structure (either/or).
Error Prevention: The system will prevent invalid entries or overlapping tiers in the Flat Fee configuration to avoid errors in pricing.
Validation Messages: Clear validation messages will appear if a merchant enters an invalid fee (e.g., non-numeric values or fees that don't fit within the correct tiers).
Compatibility: The new feature will integrate seamlessly with the existing White Label Delivery system. Merchants who are currently using the Subsidised Fee structure will be able to continue using that setup without disruption. Merchants who opt to switch to the Flat Fee structure will have the option to configure their own fees for each tier.
Flexible, Tiered Delivery Fees for OrderUp Blue
Previously, restaurants using OrderUp Blue could only set a fixed delivery fee, limiting pricing flexibility. This made it difficult to balance profitability while encouraging higher-value orders.
With this enhancement, restaurants can now set tiered delivery fees based on order totals, automatically applying the correct charge at checkout. This allows for free delivery thresholds, better pricing strategies, and improved customer transparency, helping businesses increase revenue while keeping delivery costs fair and competitive.
Tiered Delivery Fees vs. White Label Delivery: What’s the Difference? Both features introduce flexible delivery pricing in OrderUp Blue, but they apply to different delivery setups:
Use the first if you manage your own delivery. Use the second if you're using Liven’s fleet. |
Set Multiple Opening & Closing Hours in OrderUp Blue
Merchants running split shifts (e.g. lunch and dinner) were stuck with a single daily opening and closing time—leading to inaccurate store availability, missed orders, and customer frustration. This new feature in OrderUp Blue lets merchants set multiple time slots per day, aligning online store hours with real-world operations.
Feature Highlights
Merchants can now define multiple opening and closing times for each day of the week.
You can easily add, edit, or remove time slots for any day.
Each day can have at least two (or more) time slots.
Validation checks prevent overlapping or incorrect time entries.
We have improved the UI to allow seamless entry of multiple time slots.

Who is this not for?

Search Customers by Member ID in Abacus
